Born Joan Smalls Rodriguez, this Puerto Rican native is a beauty with a brain, having graduated from magna cum laude from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. Her claim to fame happened when she moved to New York City and signed Elite Model Management in 2007. Two years later, she left the agency to sign with IMG Models to focus on runway modeling; and finally in 2010, signed exclusively with Givenchy for Riccardo Tisci’s Spring/Summer Haute Couture show that January.
