[VIDEO] Elongated Man to The Rescue! “The Flash” Season 4 Casts Hartley Sawyer (@TheBigHTonight) as Series’ Newest Superhero!

The CW has made quite the name for itself with his televised universe of DC Comics’ superheroes. First there was Green Arrow, then Flash, followed by Supergirl, then a medley of heroes in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,  and very recently Black Lightning. Between the show there are dozens of superheroes, sidekicks, love interests, super villains, and plot twists.

Well now The Flash  will be getting some super-heroic help thanks to the Elongated Man! Yep, Ralph Dibny, AKA “Elongated Man” is finally making his debut in Central City on the fourth season of the hit series.  The CW has opted to cast Hartley Sawyer (Saving The Human Race) as a recurring character in the role.

Elongated Man is a superhero with the ability to stretch his body and limbs like elastic great distances–just think Plastic Man or Mr. Fantastic, just not as powerful or as smart. He is however, an amazing detective, someone even Batman respects. Alongside his wife, Sue, he solves crimes and stops villains usually alongside The Flash. With all of the craziness Team Flash has to endure this season with mastermind super villain, The Thinker, we are sure Vibe, Julian, Joe, Iris, Kid Flash, Dr. Wells, and Jesse Quick can use all the help they can get!

2017 is definitely shaping up to be the year of television series’ reboots.

It looks like The CW has followed suit and has finally released a trailer for its Dynasty reboot!

As you may recall Dynasty was a hit series back in the early eighties, starring amazing actors like Diane Carroll, Joan Collins, and Linda Evans. The series ended in 1989 after nearly 220 episodes. Now, the series has been rebooted with a new cast consisting of  Grant Show as Blake Carrington, Nathalie Kelley as Cristal Flores, Elizabeth Gillies as Fallon Carrington, James Mackay as Steven Carrington, Alan Dale as Joseph Anders, Sam Adegoke as Jeff Colby,  Robert Christopher Riley as Michael Culhane and  Rafael de La Fuente as Sam Flores!

We are super happy to see that Dynasty has  made its way back to  television. We really hope it is a hit and our friend to the site, Rob Riley is in it! Let’s all make sure we tune in as we definitely don’t want it to go the way of the Dallas reboot! Check out the trailer below!

“I’ve Become Bored of Being Insecure, Ashamed, Scared…” “The Flash” Star, Keiynan Lonsdale (@KeiynanLonsdale) Comes Out as Bisexual!

It is a new day and age, and despite the setbacks from The Trump Administration more and more people are daring to be themselves!

The Flash star, Keiyan Lonsdale is now the latest celebrity to reveal a truth about himself–he is bisexual!

 As you may already know Keiynan is best known for his role as “Wally West/Kid Flash” and has been outspoken in his stance against homophobia and in favor of trans rights, especially when it came to the controversial restroom policy. The young actor came out yesterday via Instagram, see below.

Keiynan is an amazing actor and this news only makes us love him more. Maybe the show will take up with this new revelation and carry it over to his character. Hmmm…Kid Flash with a boyfriend? We can dig it!

The CW has really brought our favorite comic book characters to life! Unless you have been hiding under a rock then you know this network has made a name and found a niche for itself with superhero dramas like Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and soon Black Lightning. 

Now, however, a different type of comic is coming to life–Archie Comics, with a dark twist called Riverdale.

As we discussed in a previous post Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Josie & The Pussycats, and the rest of the Riverdale kids have come to The CW with a bang and some pretty bodacious babes! Meet the Ladies of Riverdale–Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Madelaine Petsch, and Ashleigh Murray–this week’s Celebrity Crush!

Lili is pretty as picture and those eyes will take your heart as soon as you say hello! Lili is Betty Cooper, Riverdale’s resident sweetheart and your stereotypical girl next door–literally–as she lives next door to Archie! Ms. Reinhart is an amazing actress being able to flip the switch from victim, to heroine, to vixen quicker than a camera can change scenes!

Would you expect anything less than a hottie to portray the hottie that is Veronica Lodge? Camila Mendes a true beauty and bad ass as Riverdale’s resident rich girl seeking redemption. Definitely haute, Camila as Veronica is nothing short of a scene stealer. The moment she made her debut in Riverdale everyone knew she was a major player and game changer. Camila’s looks, body, and “Devil may care” attitude make her a starlet to watch!

Cress Williams (@Cress_Williams) To Star As “Black Lightning” in The CW’s (@TheCW) Latest Superhero Series! Mara Brock Akil (@MaraBrockAkil) & Salim Akil (@thesalimakil) to Executive Produce!

“Justice like lightning!” Yep, a new superhero show is coming to The CW and he the news is literally shocking! The CW has greenlit the rumored Black Lightning series! As you may already know, Black Lighting is one of DC Comics’ premiere Black superheroes and a longstanding member of various incarnations of the Justice League of America. Jefferson Pierce aka “Black Lightning” was a celebrated Olympic athlete who returned to his old neighborhood, “Suicide Slum,” on the southside of Metropolis, to find it was overrun with crime and corruption under the criminal gang, The 100. After his father was murdered he used his inborn metahuman (DC Comics’ version of mutants) powers of electrical generation and manipulation to save and protect the people he loved. He adopted the name because at the time he was the only Black superhero around and wanted to make sure everyone knew what they were dealing with!

Well we have learned the role of Jefferson Pierce/Black Lighting will be played by Cress Williams!

You may already know Cress as “Scooter,” Khadijah’s (Queen Latifah) love interest on Living Single, and as Mayor Lavon Hayes on The CW’s Hart of Dixie. Cress’s looks, build, and acting chops will definitely due Black Lighting justice!

Happy Monday family! It’s time for another edition of the newly dubbed #BaeDay and today’s BAE definitely fits the bill. KJ Apa, or better known as Archie Andrews in the television remake of the Archie comic series which is name ‘Riverdale’ is our #CelebrityCrush of the day!

New Zealand born actor KJ Apa currently stars as Archie Andrews on the CW television show “Riverdale” which is based off popular comic series “Archie”. Apa got his jumpstart in the entertainment industry in his hometown of New Zealand, landing a role on their popular soap opera “Shortland Street”. Ironically enough, KJ’s role as Kane Jenkins is not that much different than that of Archie Andrews. In an interview with Teen Vogue, Apa revealed:

“My character had gotten into a relationship with his P.E. teacher so I literally had just played a similar storyline,” Apa told the magazine, referencing Archie’s relationship with teacher Ms. Grundy (Sarah Habel). “I knew who Ms. Grundy was and she was definitely not the same Ms. Grundy that we have on our show. So that was surprising for me.”

Growing up, KJ Apa was NOT a fan of our beloved Archie Comics which he says gives him an advantage on the show. “I think me not being a massive fan of the comic was beneficial in a way because I could have the script for the pilot as my main focus,” Apa noted in that interview. “The show is really different from the comic.”

While KJ Apa might not be a natural orange-red head like Archie Andrews, he’s even hotter with his natural hair color of dark brown. His love of his family’s Samoan roots make him our dream guy of the week and have you seen him smile? The man could literally melt hearts. KJ Apa, you’ve won us over!

[VIDEO] Archie, Betty, & Veronica! The CW (@TheCW) Has a Dark Twist & Hit in “Riverdale!” (@CW_Riverdale)

Growing up we loved Archie comics! Not only were they hilarious, but they contained–and to this day–the greatest love triangle in fictional history between Archie (K.J. Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), and Veronica (Camila Mendes)!

The CW has reformatted the popular comic strip into a teen drama/suspense thriller, set in the comics’ fictional town of Riverdale.

All your favorites are there too; including Reggie (Ross Butler) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse), who also narrates the story. Here, the denizens of Riverdale are reeling from the murder of Cheryl Blossom’s twin brother, set against the backdrop of your typical high school romances, popularity contests, drama, and problems.

The show is very well written; and the dark twist of murder added to it gives it a more realistic take. This marks the first time Archie Comics characters have been brought to life. Beyond the writing we love the cast! An updated Black Josie & The Pussycats, super hot Archie, and a murder mystery? What more can we ask for?

After that film, Rick went on to star in several other motion pictures and TV shows like Roll Bounce, Illegal Tender, The Closer and both CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami and Bad Dad Rehab.

YES! “Black Lightning” TV Series In The Works!

As fanboys we are overjoyed by the all of the superhero series currently dominating television. Thanks to these series, lesser known heroes like Green Arrow, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Flash, Commissioner Gordon, Supergirl, Vixen, The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and many others have become household names. Well now it is Black Lightning’s turn to debut on The Silver Screen!

Jefferson Pierce, better known as Black Lightning, is DC Comic’s first headlining Black superhero. As his name implies, the character can manipulate and generate electricity, which have been powerful enough to jump start Superman’s heart! He began as Olympic athlete who returns to his old neighborhood to find it has been overrun with corruption and crime by a local gang called “The 100.” He becomes a vigilante, using his inborn metahuman powers to clean up his neighborhood and goes onto become a powerful superhero who has at times been a member of the Justice League.

Susan Walters (@swaltersashby) of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ (@cwtvd) to Join ‘The Flash’ (@CW_TheFlash)!

Just because The Vampire Diaries is coming to an end this season, doesn’t mean Susan Walters will stop working. As a matter of fact, she’s already booked another gig and we couldn’t be happier for her!

In this upcoming season of The Flash, Susan Walters will appear as Dr. Carla Tannhauser, the mother of Caitlin Snow. Her character, Dr. Carla Tannhauser, is a biomedical engineer – so we get to see where Caitlin gets her knack for science.

The character was first mentioned when Caitlin Snow came face-to-face with her Earth-2 doppelgänger Killer Frost, both of whom felt icy toward their mothers. Walters, whose credits also include Teen Wolf and The Vampire Diaries, will potentially recur.

When The Flash returns, the world will be completely different, as the “Flashpoint” world is introduced after Barry Allen went back in time to save his mother. It is not now known how long that storyline will take to play out, nor do we know whether Susan Walters’ appearance will occur during the Earth-2 dimension or during the normal universe one.
