[AUDIO] TLC (@TLC) Is Back w/ New Music – “Joy Ride”

TLC made headlines last year when surviving members T-Boz and Chilli launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their fifth and final album.

In January 2015, Chilli and T-Boz urged fans to donate towards their $150,000 target goal on Kickstarter to fund their fifth and final album. TLC opted out of label support and gratefully their fans stepped in and helped the ladies reach their goal and some. At the time, they ended up raising $430,000 (which included a $5,000 donation from songstress Katy Perry). TLC promised an album towards the end of 2015, but in November of that year, they updated the Kickstarter page with a message saying it won’t drop until 2016. We’re nearing the end of the year, and there’s no definite plans to put forth a new record. However, a promising sign lies ahead; because they just released two new song previews onto Apple Music: “Joy Ride” and “Haters.”

The pettiness and shade are real in the entertainment industry. For those of us who report it we are never truly surprised, but we are disappointed when one entity tries to come for another. No we are not talking about Marvel Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox (OMG Fox just work out a deal for The X-Men!); instead a feud has been ignited between Kontrol Magazine and the blog site Freddy O. Apparently, Freddy is pretty salty with Kontrol after one of his writers was turned away at the latter’s Woman of Style event where TLC’s Rozonda “Chili” Thomas was honored for her fashion, style, and many contributions to the entertainment industry.

Freddy did not take too well to the incident and late last night after running into Kontrol’s editor-in-chief and celebrity stylist, Julian Lark, he posted a video condemning the magazine:

TLC to start Kickstarter Campaign to fund Fifth & FINAL Album!

So is it safe to say that the worlds biggest girl group is having money issues??? TLC, who is the biggest selling girl group, is looking to put out another album — with the help of their fans.

According to Love B. Scott, in order for TLC to put out their fifth and final album, they have launched a Kickstarter program for fans to contribute.
