Essence Magazine is the creme de la creme of publications so it’s no shock that they host some pretty stellar events!

Enter My City 4 Ways, an Atlanta Event presented by Essence and something we at Kontrol Magazine are more than happy to invite you out to!

The event will take place at the Mason Fine Art Gallery where patrons will be treated “four ways” with food, music, art, and style–but most of all fun. The event will feature some pretty amazing people as well like The Real co-host and comedienne, Loni Love, DJ Princess Cut, award winning food blogger of Eating With Erica, Erica Key, Grammy nominated singer and songwriter, Anthony David, visual artist and designer, Kashmir Thompson, and Lead Designer and Visionary behind the timeless fashion brand Sylvia Mollie, Kenya Freeman!

Loni Love (@LoniLove) Reveals “The Real” (@TheRealDaytime) is Looking For a New Co-Host!

You cannot breathe the words “The Real” without folks having two main questions – 1. Have you (whichever host is being talked to at the moment) spoken to Tamar Braxton since she got fired? and 2. Will there be someone filling in the fifth chair? And comedienne and The Real co-host Loni Love seemingly answered both questions just yesterday.

Loni Love called into the Tom Joyner Morning Show to talk about ‘The Real’ co-hosts’ upcoming trip to the 2016 ESSENCE Festival. She says:

“The Real is going to the Essence Festival. It’s a live show and we’re very excited about it. It’s aimed at making it a live girl chat.”

She added:

“I haven’t talked to Tamar but I’ve seen her messages,” said Loni. She’s made her peace with the show. But we’re going to miss her. She was an asset to the show. But we have to move on and think about the fans.”

According to Loni, the situation went down similarly to Michael Strahan‘s abrupt departure from “Live”in the respect that no one knew Tamar was getting fired until it actually happen. And as far as finding a replacement for the fifth chair, Loni says that the show IS currently looking to fill it – she even suggest actor and heartthrob Larez Tate be the one to fill it.

Since Tamar’s departure there have been rumors and talk of Nene Leakes, Keke Wyatt, Keke Palmer, and even Karruche all being in the running for that empty seat and so far the only person to slam down the rumors has been Keke Palmer.

Sorry “tamartians” but your queen is having a bad day! According to a source from a  Love B. Scott exclusive, Tamar Braxton has been axed from The Real!

Tamar Braxton just got fired from ‘The Real.’ She wasn’t reading too well with the audience and sales people didn’t find her to be a good fit with advertisers. She was also too difficult dealing with production.

This definitely explains Tamar’s Instagram post. See below.

I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted ( not my man or my sisters) I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch (👀) and it’s not in good taste to tell you who…… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own. But know that every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light. Thank GOD HE HOLDS MY FUTURE AND MY HAND! (Remember who u are)….I am Tamar Braxton. Yikes! Subsequently, Tamar has stopped following her co-hosts Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, and Loni Love, or ‘The Real’ on Twitter. She still follows Tamera Mowry-Housley, however. This all screams “scandalous!” There is no word on who would be replacing Tamar, or if there will even be a replacement. A starlet like Keke Palmer or Amandla Stenberg would be good for the demographics! We will keep you posted!
