#Shade! Pooch Hall (@iam_POOCHHALL) Reveals How BET (@BET) Dogged Him Post- “The Game!”

We love Pooch Hall! Every since we first laid eyes on him on The Game he became one of our favorite actors. As “Derwin Davis” we watched his ups and downs, trials and triumphs, and ultimate departure from the aforementioned series we held so dear. Although fans of The Game were sad to see Pooch go, we all knew he was more than likely moving on to bigger and better. BET, however, did not seem to take his departure too well.

Pooch reveals in a recent interview with The Jasmine Brand just how messy things got between him and BET!

Throwin’ Major Shade: During a recent interview with The Jasmine Brand, he shared details about his disheartening departure from The Game. The famed actor even revealed how the network shaded him for his decision. He admitted he already knew what he’d be up against and that his decision wouldn’t be accepted well. “So when we were in negotiating, I kind of was like, ‘Uh oh’, because I knew how BET got down and I knew how the Producers got down. It’s almost like you have this opportunity that we gave you, we want you to be loyal. It wasn’t like fly eagle fly. Although they tried to come to an agreement, things just didn’t work out. Since he was at the top of his game when he decided to leave, he admitted he battled with the decision. “When we tried to make it work. It was like, ‘Well we can’t do that.’ Part of me was like, ‘I don’t want to leave’ because when you start making that type of money and getting that type of love, I was literally like the mayor of Atlanta.”

Things Only Got Worse: When Pooch landed the role on Showtime’s Ray Donovan, the network stopped all communication. But not only did they stop communicating with him, he was also not invited to attend the BET Awards. “When that sh*t hit Deadline, the emails and phone calls just ceased. It was like crickets. Then my lawyer called and asked has anyone from BET or Business Affairs called you? I was just like, ‘We might as well focus on Showtime because I know what that means.” He continued, “It was like the doors closed and all of a sudden no more BET Awards, it was like nothing. My peoples were like, “are you still acting?” Pooch even admitted the side was kind of depressing. After the success he’d had on the show, he didn’t expect the blowback he received. “It was just like tough to deal with because all of a sudden it was almost like – the urban side of it was just like “Where’s our guy?” and it was just like Damn, man, BET let another one go in a sense. And yo, you go through sh*t. I don’t care how tough I am. A guy or whatever man. We have feelings and certain things hurt us and bother us and you know we’re not indestructible. So it messed with me. And I’m not afraid to say it. I kinda got depressed. Although Pooch had a great run on The Game, he made the decision to move on to Ray Donovan to advance his career.

We are not surprised to hear that BET was so shady. The network does have a history of personally going after or being petty with celebrities it was once quite fond of. Although celebs like Shad “Bow Wow” Moss and Stacey Dash deserved what they got, Pooch definitely does not. We are glad to see his career is still growing strong and thriving! Who knows, perhaps we will see him on a reboot of The Game in the not too distant future (pretty please universe!)!

 

There Is Trouble Brewing With The Cast Of ‘Cutting It In The ATL’: Dedra Allen (@DedraAAllen) Says, “Don’t Talk About My Momma!” [Video]

“Cutting It In The ATL” cast member, Dedra Allen, appears to be rather upset with a few of her cast members. Dedra took to her Instagram account yesterday to call out fellow cast mates Maja, Beautii, and Mushiya. Apparently, Dedra feels some type of way about comments the ladies made about her mother.

According to Dedra, the ladies had a conversation on camera where they made comments about Dedra’s mother. Dedra feels that families are off limits and that they ladies had no business even making references to her mother or any other family members.  In order to show the ladies that she meant business, Dedra went on a total tyrant and lets all her Instagram fans know all the skeletons in Maja, Beautii, and Mushiya’s closets. Dedra states in the video that she has worked hard to have the relationship that she has now with her biological mother and that no one but her should speak on it.  Dedra makes references to Maja’s mom overdosing and says that Maja self-medicates on a daily basis. Dedra also talks about Beautii not having her mother, and that Mushiya’s mother is unable to obtain a green card.

Twenty-something years ago, the R&B world was erupted by a beef involving two of the music genre’s youngest premiere singers known as Brandy and Monica. Then teenager, the two singers united for a 1998 record-breaking chart topper song titled “The Boy Is Mine.” Following the songs release, rumors circulated of a feud between the two, which were later fueled by their refusal to perform the Grammy Award-winning song together.

Now both adults, the 90s feud that has troubled R&B music has resurfaced and is becoming quite shady with the assistance of social media. In the last few weeks, Monica’s 2003 single “So Gone” has gone viral, thanks to a viral challenge that has social media users freestyling over the Missy Elliot produced beat.

Hilarious! BET (@BET) Shades Bow Wow (@smoss) After Claiming He’s Mixed & Won’t Be Voting!

There have to be some millennials running BET’s network because the shade and pettiness this past year has been very modern and young! We have to admit we have been laughing right along with them. Firs the network shaded Stacey Dash for her comments about the country no longer needing Black awards shows, organizations, or BET. They in turn posted every  Black movie and television show she had ever been in and asked for their checks back on Twitter. Then after Madonna’s “tribute” to Prince they tweeted a commercial, dissing the performance. You can check that out by clicking here.

Well now it is Shad Moss, aka “Bow Wow’s” turn. A few days ago the rapper/actor tweeted:

“Man i only believe what the eyes see. Im mixed. I dont know what my ancestors was doing. I only know what i see!”

All this was a response to him stating he does not relate to Civil Rights matters or plan to vote due to his biracial heritage. BET quickly posted this to their Instagram with the hashtag with, #WeLostMoss!

The Govan Sisters (@GloGovan, @LauraMGovan): Controversy & Clapbacks Over Gilbert Arenas

BBWLA sisters, Laura Govan and Gloria Govan are at war with infidelity allegations and social media shade and it’s all over former NBA player and Laura’s ex-husband, Gilbert Arenas.

The drama all started earlier this week when Laura sat down with Hollywood blogger, Jason Lee, and Blood, Sweat & Heels star, Melyssa Ford, to address some issues going on with her and her ex boo Arenas. During a recent interview with Hollywood Unlocked podcast, Laura claimed that at one point in her relationship with Arenas, she felt that her sister, Gloria, was thirsty for him and his attention. She said that it had gotten so bad that she had to hook Gloria up with her “own baller” ex-beau, Matt Barnes, in order for her to see past her husband.

“That is true. That’s what I did. It was something I was going through and we were younger…There was a lot of f*ckery going on in the relationship…There’s a lot of sh*t that I went through, with my sister and dealing with this situation. When I hooked them up — she was a thorn in my *ss when I was in a relationship with Gilbert…And her friends … It was a lot.”

Millions were glued to their televisions last night for 2016’s Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs). Celebrities, fashion, glitz, glamour, and most of all music dominated the night. The show was chalked full of some amazing performances by The Weeknd (Who now has more wins than any artist in BBMA history!), Pink, Rihanna, and Celine Dion. The latter two truly stole the show with their vocals! However, the most anticipated performance of the night was set to be Madonna’s tribute to the late, great, and legendary artist, Prince. Needless to say her performance was highly criticized. Check it out below.

Azealia Banks (@AZEALIABANKS) Comes for Zayn Malik (@zaynmalik), Before Asked to Have Several Seats by 14-Year-Old Skai Jackson (@skaijackson)!

Azealia Banks started with Zayn Malik, and then channeled her outrage towards 14-year-old Skai Jackson. It all began when Banks posted a photo on Instagram comparing a clip from Zayn’s latest video “Like I would” to one of her own photos, as well as side by side pictures showing each of their heart tattoos in fairly similar placement on their bodies. Banks captioned this, “”Damn Zayn be mood boarding the f–k out of me.”

Malik then subliminally tweeted back “No lies … I see you reaching but I don’t care ,” followed by, “My @’s too good for you.” Banks came back at former One Directioner with several extremely offensive racist and homophobic remarks.

We all know Bravo is a network which boasts some of television’s shadiest personalities and showcases them at their absolute best–when they’re serving piping hot, undiluted tea! Well last night marked the return of our favorites Housewives with the eighth season premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA). Nene may be gone, but that did not stop Porsha, Kandi, Phaedra, Cynthia, and Kenya from serving dishes of drama ice cold. First, Cynthia confronted Peter about his inappropriate interactions with a woman at his bar in North Carolina.

Unsurprisingly it was not resolved and she later confessed to her sister, Mallory, she is not physically attracted to her husband anymore. Later, at the launch of Cynthia’s eye wear collection, two blasts from RHOA past popped up–Sheree Whitfield and Marlo Hampton! Marlo ends up refereeing a verbal spat between Kenya and Peter over his inappropriateness with other women. Later, Kenya picks a fight with her new neighbor Sheree. After poking jabs at her about still building Chateau Sheree, she calls her a broke ass and the two almost fight!
