“Nurse Jackie” Actor, Haaz Sleiman (@haazsleiman), Comes Out as Gay…AND A Bottom!

2017 has proven to be quite a year rife with prejudice and intolerance, not outright seen sense the Civil Rights Era.

Thankfully, and bravely, in the face of such ignorance by being themselves and standing up for what is right through protest and declarations of truth. One of these people is Nurse Jackie actor, Haaz Sleiman, who has come out as gay–and a bottom!

Haaz Sleiman, best known for his work on the Showtime series Nurse Jackie, has come out as gay in a new video on social media.

The 41-year-old actor said that his video was in response to a study that found that more LGBTQ Americans have been murdered in 2017 so far than in the entire year of 2016.

“I am a gay, Muslim, Arab-American man. And I’m going to take it even further: Not only am I gay, but I’m also a bottom. Not only am I a bottom, but I’m also a total bottom which means I like it up you know where,” Haaz said. “And I say this to all the homophobes living in the United States of America and across the globe… Why not? If you ever come to me, to kill me just because I’m gay… I will destroy you.”

“I might be gay and I might be a nice guy, but don’t get it twisted because I will f— you up,” he added.

This is quite a statement and a little too much information, but hey we all like what we like. Honestly, we always thought Haaz was gay, his Facebook video only confirms it. Still, being a gay, Lebanese-American,  Muslim and  coming out as a bottom on top of all that is quite a brave feat. Now, we are just waiting on his boyfriend information. You know he either has one or will soon! We will keep you posted!

While Jack Kesy is probably best known for his roles in “The Strain” and TNT’s newest hit series “Claws” starring Niecy Nash and Karrueche Tran, he is set to take over the Entertainment industry by storm. He already has two high profile films set to be relased in 2018 and he’s surely going to end 2017 with a bang, starring in “Baywatch”, “Blood Brother”, “Deathwish” and “Hot Summer Night”. We love a man who keeps busy and best believe, Mr. Kesy is surely fitting that bill.

One of the biggest notches Jack Kesy could add onto his belt just may be his upcoming role in “Deadpool 2” which is said to be his Breakout role. While there are few details known about the character as of yet, many forums have speculated that Kesy will play the role of Black Tom, a villain who can manipulate energy through plants. “Deadpool” is one of the most popular and talked-about superhero movies ever made and  given its huge success, fans have been going absolutely crazy on their numerous platforms for any news about its upcoming sequel.

Because Jack Kesy’s acting resume is not as long as some veteran actors vying for a role in movies like Deadpool or on a hit show like Claws, many fans wonder if he can pull it off but we have faith in him. During the pilot for “Claws”, Kesy made a guest appearance. The producers of the show were so impressed with his work that this singular performance earned him a regular role on the series. (How’s that for a ‘newbie’ Hollywood?!)

Cory Hardrict (@coryhardrict)– Destined for Greatness!

Cory Hardrict silently dominated the 2016 independent film festival circuit with his film, “Destined”.

In addition to playing dual roles in the film, Hardrict also served as executive producer. Initially, Hardrict was producing the film and not starring in it, but the director felt like he was the perfect fit for the leading man. Destined follows two separate paths a young man takes after he comes to the fork in the road of life. The film is about choices and how consequences to actions can result in a lifetime of differences. “One character is an architect—sometimes in that world you have other people that make decisions for you. He is dealing with gentrification which results in  him making a decision for an entire
community. The parallel character is a drug Lord desperately trying to save his son. It’s a real life thing two paths and parallels,” Hardrict explains. “Destined” quickly became the project to beat, garnering eight awards at twelve festivals throughout 2016. “I knew from what we shot the work was great. After you shoot it and put it together, the rest is in God’s hands. The success has been a blessing, but the mission is to get it to the world,” Hardrict shares.

Hardrict enjoyed a number of films released last year, including most recently “Spectral” an action thriller purchased by Netflix, but much like the message in his film “Destined”, Hardrict is both strategic and selective with his career. His brooding yet unforgettable presence along with his selective-ness when choosing roles are just a few of the reasons Hardrict has been compared to the legendary Denzel Washington. When asked about the constant comparison, Hardrict is humbled. “Denzel is a living legend, so I just shake my head. He is like a God, he is the best actor on the planet. I got a lot of work to do before I could come anywhere close to that. He has a lot of strength and power. He’s been consistent. Antoine Fuqua was the first person to say I reminded him of a young Denzel. It made me want to step my game up, those are heavy words.” Besides his on camera likeness to Denzel, Hardrict is also an outspoken family man, attributing his success to the title of fatherhood he enjoys with wife Tia Mowry. “Becoming a husband and father made my heart open up more because I love my wife and son to death. It’s been fun, nothing but joy. It’s made me a better man and better actor.”

So I’ve officially been here in Georgia for about two weeks and so far I love, I’m happy that after all these years I finally made the move I had been talking about.

Ricardo Hoyos is a 21-year old Canadian actor best known for his role as Zig Novak on Degrassi. Ricardo’s role as Zig is probably most memorable because for some reason Zig seemed to always have trouble following him. He has said in a past interview that if he could work with one former Degrassi cast member it would be Shane Kippel who played the legendary Spinner Mason (I lowkey had a crush on him back in the day.)

As aforementioned Niecy is currently starring in Claws, a new series centered on a group of nail salon technicians who “clean” money for drug lord, “Uncle Daddy.” (Dean Norris) In the series Nash is Desna  “Des” Simms, a shop owner determined to expand her business, look after her friends, brother, and worker; while trying to cover up a murder alongside new girl/rival Virginia Loc (Karreuche Tran). Des is one tough “Cookie”and yes we mean right up there with Ms. Lyon herself! The series is already making waves with fans and most of that has to do with Niecy’s amazing performance!

Now, as for Niecy and this SNATCHED body we have seen courtesy to a few outfits on Claws all we can say is WE ARE HERE FOR IT! The girl looks amazing! Niecy has always been a naturally curvy woman, but when combined with a little push up bra she will give most girls in their twenties a run for their money. It sucks that she is no longer on the market, but we are sure her current husband, Jay Tucker, is enjoying all the “benefits” that come to being married to this bodacious babe!

Tom Holland is an English actor probably best known for playing the titular character Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He might also be known for his 2012 role in the film “The Impossible”. After eight auditions and subsequent two years of training, on June 28th, 2008, Holland made his West End debut in “Billy Elliot the Musical” as Michael, Billy’s best friend. Holland made his feature film debut in “The Impossible”, directed by Juan Antonio Bayona starring alongside Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. The role won him universal praise from critics and several awards such as the National Board of Review Award for Breakthrough Performance and London Film Critics Circle Award for Young British Performer of the Year.

Holland’s upcoming film “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is probably one of the most talked about films of 2017. The all-star cast features Holland, Zendaya, Tyne Daly, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon and Michael Keaton. Everything from plot premise to actor’s roles has been talked about and I know I’m not the only one on the edge of my seat waiting to see this latest installment. Tom Holland is currently signed to a six-picture deal with Marvel Studios.

And if you watched at least one episode of Chewing Gum then surely you have taken notice of his physique. Nice broad shoulders, muscular built, smooth chiseled facial features, a million dollar smile that can change my mood in an instant and the ever so sexy accent that most women go crazy for. #Shade! Pooch Hall (@iam_POOCHHALL) Reveals How BET (@BET) Dogged Him Post- “The Game!”

We love Pooch Hall! Every since we first laid eyes on him on The Game he became one of our favorite actors. As “Derwin Davis” we watched his ups and downs, trials and triumphs, and ultimate departure from the aforementioned series we held so dear. Although fans of The Game were sad to see Pooch go, we all knew he was more than likely moving on to bigger and better. BET, however, did not seem to take his departure too well.

Pooch reveals in a recent interview with The Jasmine Brand just how messy things got between him and BET!

Throwin’ Major Shade: During a recent interview with The Jasmine Brand, he shared details about his disheartening departure from The Game. The famed actor even revealed how the network shaded him for his decision. He admitted he already knew what he’d be up against and that his decision wouldn’t be accepted well. “So when we were in negotiating, I kind of was like, ‘Uh oh’, because I knew how BET got down and I knew how the Producers got down. It’s almost like you have this opportunity that we gave you, we want you to be loyal. It wasn’t like fly eagle fly. Although they tried to come to an agreement, things just didn’t work out. Since he was at the top of his game when he decided to leave, he admitted he battled with the decision. “When we tried to make it work. It was like, ‘Well we can’t do that.’ Part of me was like, ‘I don’t want to leave’ because when you start making that type of money and getting that type of love, I was literally like the mayor of Atlanta.”

Things Only Got Worse: When Pooch landed the role on Showtime’s Ray Donovan, the network stopped all communication. But not only did they stop communicating with him, he was also not invited to attend the BET Awards. “When that sh*t hit Deadline, the emails and phone calls just ceased. It was like crickets. Then my lawyer called and asked has anyone from BET or Business Affairs called you? I was just like, ‘We might as well focus on Showtime because I know what that means.” He continued, “It was like the doors closed and all of a sudden no more BET Awards, it was like nothing. My peoples were like, “are you still acting?” Pooch even admitted the side was kind of depressing. After the success he’d had on the show, he didn’t expect the blowback he received. “It was just like tough to deal with because all of a sudden it was almost like – the urban side of it was just like “Where’s our guy?” and it was just like Damn, man, BET let another one go in a sense. And yo, you go through sh*t. I don’t care how tough I am. A guy or whatever man. We have feelings and certain things hurt us and bother us and you know we’re not indestructible. So it messed with me. And I’m not afraid to say it. I kinda got depressed. Although Pooch had a great run on The Game, he made the decision to move on to Ray Donovan to advance his career.

We are not surprised to hear that BET was so shady. The network does have a history of personally going after or being petty with celebrities it was once quite fond of. Although celebs like Shad “Bow Wow” Moss and Stacey Dash deserved what they got, Pooch definitely does not. We are glad to see his career is still growing strong and thriving! Who knows, perhaps we will see him on a reboot of The Game in the not too distant future (pretty please universe!)!
