The Return of Justin! Rico Pruitt (@RicoPruittXXX) Joins The Cast of “About Him: Freshman Year!”

Something refreshing is coming to About Him: Freshman Year and his name is Rico Pruitt!

Yep, original cast member, Rico Pruitt, is reprising his role of “Justin” on the hit web series. The news came just a few hours ago when Pruitt hinted at his return via Instagram:

This is definitely no surprise to us as rumors of Rico being in talks with Bawn TV have been swirling for the last few months. We reached out to Rico for a statement of confirmation. The web star confirms he is returning and agreed to do the show after the network reached out to him.

Signing Off? Rico Pruitt & Signal 23 TV Part Ways!

It has definitely been a wild ride these last few months with the cast (s) of About Him! Last summer this talented group of young men took the nation by storm with a story that brought to the forefront the pain and pleasure of young Black gay men coming of age. As you already know, one of them was Rico Pruitt, who starred as “Justin,” on the hit web series, and later in About Justin. We were already enamored with Brandon Karson and Gary Lavard on screen, but adding Rico into the mix was liking adding a little extra spice to make the show “extra nice!”

However, all things come to an end eventually; and from the looks of it Rico has decided to end his relationship with Signal 23 TV! The popular web star took to Facebook and Instagram announcing not only his departure from About Justin, but the company as well. Check out his post below:

 Signal 23 TV declined to comment. We are surprised to see Rico and Signal 23 TV are parting ways, but this is not unheard of. As you recall other original About Him stars, Brandon Karson (Damien) and Rahim Brazil (Kendall) parted ways with the company in December of last year. Rico is a good friend to our site and we definitely wish all parties involved the best of luck in their future endeavors.

About Him may be on hiatus until Season 2, but that gives us just enough time to dive into About Justin! As you may recall, About Justin, starring Rico Pruitt, centers on “Justin” from About Him, one of Damien’s (Brandon Karson) love interests. His debut episode,  Best Friends (Episode 10) nearly broke the internet. Refresh yourself on the hotness below!

Well now we get to see more of Justin as he navigates life, love, and drama in his own way as About Justin premieres Wednesday, December 14th.

Yep, Signal 23 TV,  has released a teaser trailer for the series , and it looks like it is going to be a lot of fun. See it below.

So yeah this trailer is hilarious, but hot! We definitely would have preferred him in Batman attire, but we digress (lol)! Rico is a very insta-famous (Have y’all seen his Instagram pics!?) and his character did bring a lot of buzz to the show, so making a spin-off series based on him was a wise move. We are not sure if any of the characters from About Him will be appearing on the series, but we are hoping for a few hot crossovers! We do know for sure Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta’s Mama Dee is playing his mother so you know things are going to be wild! Check back here soon, we might just have a few words from Rico himself!

“About Justin?” Rico Pruitt Dishes On “About Him,” Spinoffs, & Love!

Summer 2016 has truly been memorable. In just  the span of a few months we have watched tragic police brutality, witnessed a business mogul become a presidential candidate, and flash-backed to our childhoods thanks to Niantic and the release of Pokemon Go! Most of these events were either troublesome or depressing, compelling many to find some outlet or reprieve from all the swarming negativity. Thankfully Signal 23 TV  was able to provide us with some respite when it released the hottest web series to date, About Him.

The series centers around a young gay man, “Damien,” (Brandon Karson) exploring his sexuality the final summer before he heads off to college. Damien has a number of love interests; and although each of them are hot it has been scenes with “Best Friend,” better known as “Justin” that has really stolen hearts and made jaws drop! Rico Pruitt, the actor, and magic behind the character sat down with HeyMikeyATL for an exclusive interview where he discussed being Justin, behind the scenes of About Him, his future on the show, and his own love life.

Talented, inspirational, and HOT! These are the words that come to mind when you think about Brandon Karson– actor, model, fashion writer, and most importantly the star of Signal 23 TV’s hit series, About Him! Brandon hails from the grand city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana,and has always dreamed of greatness. As the grandson of a pastor, he grew up rather conservative, but shed his shell to become a rising star whose first project has been met with rave reviews and critical acclaim!

Brandon’s introduction to the world has been truly moving. About Him is told from his character, “Damien’s,” perspective, and is a  true coming of age story where he explores his sexuality his final summer before beginning college. His main love interest, however, Vince (Gary Lavard), is also his brother’s best friend. Their summer fling is rife with stolen moments, steamy hookups, and suspense so thick you will always be on the edge of your seat wondering what’s next! One would falsely assume all of this new found popularity and fame would go to his head. Instead, you get to meet one of the most humble, down to earth, and cool people on the planet. “I’m a very,  very funny guy…. really engaging, very hopeful, very passionate about everything you know.I love things that are natural…I love hot wings [he laughs]…I love clothes and I love talking to people…” However, he does admit being the central character of a series does come with a lot of pressure. “I think I get the most pressure because people who already know me don’t really expect me to be so timid and like in a jar. I have to be on point from the jump. What I love about the show is it’s kind of an evolution thing, and I had to bottle up–and I’m not a bottle up kind of guy I have to let it out! Damien’s not like that at all he’s more observant. I think that’s the hardest part.”

Justin Bieber–Racist? Disturbing Video #2 Says So!

Black, and still suffering from “Bieber Fever?” Well here is your cure! A SECOND, we repeat SECOND video has surfaced of music’s bad boy, Justin Bieber using the N-word and joking about joining the Ku Klux Klan. Apparently, when he was younger (with that horrible and trademarked bowl shaped hair cut) did a parody of his hit song, “One Less Lonely Girl.” Cool right? Wrong! He parodied it by renaming it “One Less Lonely Nigger.” Sources say this all happened when he was fourteen and saw someone parodying the song online and decided to do one himself–on camera. Everyone involved claims he immediately realized afterwards he was wrong. Justin’s team wants everything out in the open concerning these videos, claiming the artist is ready own up to what he has done. In actuality, Justin is only ready to own up for what he has done to the numerous attempts to extort him with the videos. They know how important his Black celebrity friends are to him, and how his “street cred” would bank to zero over allegations of him being a racist. Superstars, Usher Raymond and Will Smith, are just two of his “Black friends.” Surprisingly, the former, who is also his mentor has been silent about the videos.
