‘Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta’  gets absolutely crazy on the second episode! We finally get a deeper look into Bow Wow and Joie’s relationship, and, Brandon and Reginae’s explosive fight creates waves in the ATL that eventually involves their parents!

Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta premiered last week (May 25) and we left off on, Bow Wow‘s mix tape party heating up. Some unwanted guests showed up, aka his old friends turned enemies, and things were about to go down!

Laura Govan Opens Up In A Recent Interview with TheJasmineBrand On ‘Fix My Life’, Molestation & Gilbert Arenas!

Laura Govan has made it clear that she is more than a reality star and ex-fiancee. Recently, the mother of four did an episode with Iyanla: Fix My Life and during the episode, Govan touched on a number of things. From her controversial relationship with ex-fiancee, Gilbert Arenas, to the status of the relationship with her sister Gloria Govan and getting back to herself. Immediately following the show, Laura spoke exclusively with Jasmine Brand from theJasmineBRAND.com. She reflected on the show, moving past issues with her parents and what’s next for Govan.  When it came down to speaking on why she did decided to go on Iyanla: Fix My Life, she states:

“I felt like it was time. You know, for the most part, I’m over it [persistent drama with ex-fiancée] and tired. I wanted it to be an end of a new beginning. There is a lot that wasn’t put in it. For the most part, it’s hard. I had to take myself out of it and become a fan. Which is what made me cry. I could see the hurt, the pain. It was hard to watch. It was a hard pill to swallow.”

Signal 23 TV’s “Steel River” Makes Waves w/ New Web Star, Sherrod Willis (@sherrod4real)!

Signal 23 TV continues to deliver some amazing stories to its viewers. Last summer it  brought us About Him, and Fall of last year it debuted Steel River: When Were Young,  a prequel to the original Steel River series that put Signal 23 TV on the map! Faithfully and diligently, we have been tuning into see watch  William (Will), Kadoe, Ivan, and Addison ten years in the past as they  grow to become the men we know and love. Beyond the drama, sex, intrigue, and craziness; viewers are really getting a taste of what it means to come of age while being Black and gay.

Just when we thought the series could not get any wilder though, a new character, played by Sherrod Willis, has been tossed in the mix!

Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan and growing up in Chicago, Sherrod is an amazing addition to Steel River: When We Were Young. Besides being the newest cast member of the series, he is a rising star who has dreamed of the spotlight since his freshman year in college. “I was in a performing arts group back in Chicago and we did little skits and stuff like that, or promotional videos and I think I took an interest in it then. I never really knew what do or where to go so when I moved down here to Atlanta I saw a web series [Kaleidoscope} I wanted to be a part of and went from there….” Sherrod’s enthusiasm and willingness to go after his dreams stems from his desire to be the best version of himself possible. “I always knew I w anted to be something great–somebody great–but I know that depends on me…” Indeed, Sherrod’s raw talent shined through on his debut episode, “Due Process,” as his character, “Jackson,” not only forced Will (Alex Jante) to confront his sexuality, but seduced and coerced him in one of the hottest sex scenes in web series history!

As “Jackson,” he portrays the soldier brother of Will’s girlfriend, who as the series eludes to in another conversation is “trade.” (via Urban Dictionary; A man who messes around with other men, but no one would ever know by looking or talking to him. Used by gay black men to identify masculine gay men or DL Brothas.) Sherrod goes on to state ,“You’re gonna love him [Jackson], he’s a different type of dude, and I love playing him, and the waves he’s gonna make in the story line kinda make you jump!” Although he admits his episode’s sex scene was hot, he feels the scene between Ivan (Rion Deshon) and his trade love interest (Tripp Ali)was hotter. “They really went in on that. It was just so realistic, like I know people who have told me that they’ve hooked up in a shower or bathroom, or know someone who did. Rion and Tripp are amazing actors, so i gotta give it up for them [he laughs].”

About Him just cannot be stopped and we are not complaining. As you already know the second season of the hit web series has spawned two very different shows on two different networks; Bawn TV with Tyson Anthony and director, Anthony Bawn, and Signal  23 TV with Henderson Maddox. We are dedicated to complete coverage of both series and our very own “Michael “Hey Mikey” Fanning, was invited to meet the cast of Tyson Anthony’s About Him: Freshman Year.

The series stars Brandon Karson, reprising his role of “Damien” from the first season; alongside Rahim Brazil as “Kendall.” Together the two head a new cast of characters as Damien heads off to college and makes new friends, new enemies, and deals with lots of scandal!

HOTT 923’s Fresh Face Radio never fails to deliver the fun and the laughs–they do not pull any punches either!

Airing Tuesdays from 8-10 PM EST; Radio hosts, SoDebnair, Lady Kooture the Voice of All Media Diva, and our very own Hey Mikey dish out tea (piping hot), a little shade, lots of pettiness, but most of all fun!

Last night Fresh Face Radio had on Chris Kelsey, Daphne Pittman-Hayes, and Tyler Does, three cast members of the new indie film, Dirty South House Arrest. Centered on a young man named, Drake (Curtis Wyatt III), who is stuck at home and tries to come up with a way to get his crush, Tamika (LaTavia Roberson) to come over by throwing a house party. His friends, Flipside (Tyler Does) and Travis (Navv Greene), join him in his mission to make it an unforgettable event! However, Drake soon learns his mother, Vanessa (Jessica Fontaine), had to use their mortgage money to pay for his lawyer. Now it is up to him to help his mother all while pulling off a life changing party!

The film definitely seems interesting and we cannot wait to see it for ourselves. If you are an eighties baby then you know house parties can be epic! It is definitely time we have a good house party-based movie. After all, the ones after Kid-N-Play were all a flop! (Sorry, NOT Sorry!) We definitely want to see if LaTavia can act too. This may be her first big screen role, as you recall besides music she has only really done R&B Divas Atlanta.

The world can be a truly uncertain place. There are times when you wish you had an easy answer for the toughest situations. That, however, is rarely the case. Life often proves itself to be a brutal teacher and taskmaster. So what do you do when you add being anything outside of the norm; like being gay for example. There’s no handbook or guide to tell you what to do or how to react when you’re a guy who likes guys. That is where author, actor, and all around great guy, Langston John Blaze comes in with The Underwear Drawer: An Intimate View On Gay Relationships! This amazing book seems to be the “be all” book for surviving the ups and downs of gay life. “I want to help people….when I first came out and began exploring my sexuality there was no one to advise me, tell me what to do, or how to react. I had to figure everything out on my own and it was hard…I got to thinking I really wish there was a book or guide to help gay people, especially young ones, navigate all this…”

 The Underwear Drawer may be the best friend any gay person can have! Besides being very well written; it is very relatable. In fact, you will undoubtedly find yourself relating to all the scenarios of self-esteem, love, sex, dating, and ultimately acceptance. “No two gay men are exactly alike, there’s a lot of diversity in the gay community, but all of them can relate to this book…” Reading over the book, you definitely find yourself engrossed in the process and journey it takes you on. Sexuality is complex, and fluid, but the human soul is not. At our core, gay or straight, we all want to be loved.

Talented, inspirational, and HOT! These are the words that come to mind when you think about Brandon Karson– actor, model, fashion writer, and most importantly the star of Signal 23 TV’s hit series, About Him! Brandon hails from the grand city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana,and has always dreamed of greatness. As the grandson of a pastor, he grew up rather conservative, but shed his shell to become a rising star whose first project has been met with rave reviews and critical acclaim!

Brandon’s introduction to the world has been truly moving. About Him is told from his character, “Damien’s,” perspective, and is a  true coming of age story where he explores his sexuality his final summer before beginning college. His main love interest, however, Vince (Gary Lavard), is also his brother’s best friend. Their summer fling is rife with stolen moments, steamy hookups, and suspense so thick you will always be on the edge of your seat wondering what’s next! One would falsely assume all of this new found popularity and fame would go to his head. Instead, you get to meet one of the most humble, down to earth, and cool people on the planet. “I’m a very,  very funny guy…. really engaging, very hopeful, very passionate about everything you know.I love things that are natural…I love hot wings [he laughs]…I love clothes and I love talking to people…” However, he does admit being the central character of a series does come with a lot of pressure. “I think I get the most pressure because people who already know me don’t really expect me to be so timid and like in a jar. I have to be on point from the jump. What I love about the show is it’s kind of an evolution thing, and I had to bottle up–and I’m not a bottle up kind of guy I have to let it out! Damien’s not like that at all he’s more observant. I think that’s the hardest part.”

[VIDEO] Television Is “Making Kids Gay?” At Least That’s What Lil Boosie (@BOOSIEOFFICIAL) Says in Interview!

Can you really “make children gay?” Rapper Lil Boosie definitely thinks so, revealing his beliefs in an interview with DJ Vlad on VladTV. Apparently, Boosie blames the appearance of gay characters on television, namely cartoons for indoctrinating children into homosexuality.

“They tryna make everybody fucking gay,” He says. “They putting it on our culture. They’re putting it everywhere. Gay stuff is everywhere. I think that they’re just trying to do it to make a monetary gain. They’re not doing it for the gays. They’re not really fans of the gays. They’re doing it for monetary gain, man. They try to make money off these people, man.”

[VIDEO] Landon Brown (@LaBrownMusic) Speaks About Nick Gordon (@Nickdgordon) & The Passing of Both Whitney Houston & Sister, Bobbi Kristina

Landon Brown, the oldest son, and firstborn of the legendary singer Bobby Brown, stopped by Hollywood Unlocked Uncensored this week and opened up about the tragic deaths of his step-mother Whitney Houston and sister Bobbi Kristina. Landon talked about his time with his sister in the hospital before her untimely passing, gives his opinion on Nick Gordon and shares the disturbing message Nick passed along when they first met.

Interesting fact, Landon has been friends with Hollywood Unlocked founder, Jason Lee for over a decade and it was Lee that called and told Landon about the passing of his little sister Bobbi Kristina.

“You lose your sister, especially your baby sister, it’s gonna be difficult for anybody. But, I got to spend five months in a hospital with her, every single day,” Landon said. “I got to be there to do her nails, make sure she was groomed good. I got to have my closure.”

In reference to him first meeting Gordon he said his first interaction was unpleasant. Gordon told Landon

“He said I had to replace you as Krissy’s [Bobbi Kristina] brother because you’re not here and I almost lost my entire mind.”

Miles Brock from last season of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood sat down with Hollywood Unlocked Uncensored and spoke on his break up with ex-boyfriend and former cast mate Milan Christopher, along with his new alleged relationship with former Basketball Wives cast member Sundy Carter.

Miles spoke on how messy ex-boyfriend Milan has been ever since their split. He first addressed rumors that him and his ex girlfriend Amber (also on the show) were cousins. Brock denies the rumor and says it was started by Milan in efforts to try and discredit him and Amber’s story line on Love and Hip Hop.
